Mounted Butterfly Collection – 6x24 Acrylic Shadow Box

This 6 x 24 inch acrylic shadow box features ten hand-selected butterfly specimens, arranged in a vertical display that blends vivid color with graphic contrast. At the top, Papilio ulysses telegonus makes a bold entrance with its electric blue wings edged in deep black. Just below, Cymothoe excelsa (left) offers a striking red flash beside the iridescent teal and black mosaic of Lyropteryx apollonia (right).

Rhadamantus troides grounds the upper center with golden yellow and rich black wings, leading to a soft pairing below: Morpho deidamia mariae (left) glows in cool silvery blue, while Eurytides protesilaus (right) brings bold symmetry with its ivory-white and charcoal-striped wings. Papilio rumanzovia introduces rich crimson and velvet black below, flanked by the speckled monochrome of Hamadryas arinome (left) and the bright green-violet shimmer of Graphium weiskei (right). At the base, Papilio karna completes the arrangement with delicate tails and a cool wash of minty turquoise across deep black wings.

Together, these ten butterflies form a striking vertical composition—an ode to natural diversity and design, beautifully preserved in mid-flight.
